Helicopter Platform: Our helicopter is an 800mm size helicopter with a main rotor size that is just less than 66 inches! The Canon Rebel XS sits in a forward slung camera mount with a separate camera attached to the viewfinder. The second camera shoots video back allowing the camera operator to frame the shots. When sites permit we can use this to take photos up to 400 ft and get the helicopter operating in areas that would just be impossible for full scale operations. The helicopter is electric and runs off a 52 volt / 1800 watt electrical system capable of lifting the Canon Rebel XS to the desired height for all your low altitude photography needs.
50-foot Portable Mast: Our portable mast allows us to still take photos even when we have trees, power wires, or other obstacles that would prevent the helicopter from being used. The mast itself extends to fifty feet and we can stop at multiple spots on the way up till we reach that perfect shot. On top of the mast we have a state of the art camera mount that rotates 360 degrees and tilts 180 degrees so we can properly frame every picture. In addition to the mounts movement, video is sent from the camera to our laptop where we get a “live preview” of your picture. The client is welcome to watch and ensure were doing exactly what you want.
Canon EOS Rebel XS: Our camera is a Canon DSLR camera – 10.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor with DIGIC III Image Processor. This has really “upped our game” in the sense of high quality pictures. We have optional wide angle and telephoto lenses avail to ensure you’re getting the cleanest shots possible.
